“The makeup was crisp, gleaming, and sharp like the white-tipped crest of a wave. We went with white eyeliner - MAC Pure White Acrylic Paint - instead of punk’s usual black - and used an angled synthetic brush to draw a thin line. I applied the colour starting at the center of the lid and drew the line to the very outer corner of the eye, restarting it again at the inner-eye corner, and tracing the lash line to meet the center point."

After cleansing and applied at night and mornings, I found my skin benefited from this amazing face cream after just two weeks. Kiehl’s Powerful Wrinkle Reducing Cream promises to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines, prevent new wrinkles forming, smooth skin texture (through hydration) and minimize the appearance of pores from week one. Aging skin with weakened elasticity is visibly wrinkled, has enlarged/irregular-shaped pores and is rough in texture. Improved elasticity in the skin makes it look younger with a smooth appearance, fewer wrinkles, and fewer fine lines and enlarged pores. With the loss of elasticity (the elastin and collagen in our skin) beginning in our 20’s, maintaining elasticity is one early way of preserving the health and youth of your skin. This is a useful cream, an excellent anti-aging cream to use from, I would recommend, the age of 27 or 29 onwards in a skincare routine.

The way this cream works as one of the most technically advanced anti-aging creams you can buy at the moment is through its unique, hydrating combined formula of  Copper PCA, Abyssine, Calcium PCA and Apricot Kernel Oil. Abyssine is a naturally derived survival molecule which thrives under the extreme conditions of heat, pressure and toxicity. Apricot Kernel Oil is high in Vitamin E, aiding fast absorption. I found this cream is instantly absorbed and its smooth texture spreads easily on the skin. Copper is an element naturally present in the skin for its healthy appearance and it multi-functions in this moisturiser. It is an element which stimulates the production of elastin and remodels it. Copper is a vital antioxidant defending the skin against oxidative stress and, with Calcium, it maintains the health of the skin’s moisture barrier. 

I found the Kiehl’s Powerful Wrinkle Reducing Cream visibly reduced fine lines on my forehead in under two weeks and my mid-40s skin gained an overall youthful, relaxed appearance. As a powerful wrinkle reducing cream, it is the mildest and most calming I have ever used, qualifying it for sensitive skincare. Its effect on the skin is completely softening. Apply gently to the neck also.

This Lanvin advert features the same three models, including Sasha Luss to the left in metallic blue. Both of the shots are a mirror image, broadening the features of the models on the left and narrowing the features of the same models on the right. Also, note the return of accessories in the photo. Dr Organic Virgin Olive Oil Eye Serum is a recent discovery in my search for eye care that really works. Formulated to reduce puffiness, dark circles and under eye bags, it boosts collagen around the eye area - the protein that ‘glues’ the skin, and it promotes cell hydration. As with the Dr Organic Pomengranate Advanced Recovery Eye Cream, I found after three weeks, the skin around the eye was completely hydrated, smooth, and fine line free. Eye serums are recommended for all skin types including more mature, aging skin. You will notice the difference between an eye cream and a serum. Creams are made by mixing oil with water. Active ingredients are added. Creams are more suited to dry and normal skin types. A serum is cooling, lighter and more easily absorbed, less like a cream and more like a gel. Serums are water-based only and are a more concentrated way of delivering key ingredients to the skin. One factor determining your choice of a serum or a cream generally should be your skin type – creams are for drier or normal skin conditions and oil-free serums suit acne-prone or oily skin. 

Apply sparingly by lightly tapping the Dr Organic Virgin Olive Oil Eye Serum twice daily around the delicate eye area using your ring finger, morning and at night after cleansing the skin to moisturize and rejuvenate. Apply also during the day if your skin is exposed to central heating which happens frequently during the winter months and drains moisture from the skin.
