After his untimely death on 11 February 2010, Alexander
McQueen’s company owner Gucci confirmed the clothing brand would continue. On
27 May 2010, Sarah Burton, Alexander McQueen's design assistant since 1996, was
announced as Creative Director and Chief Designer at Alexander McQueen, with a
plan to launch a men's underwear collection. Sarah Burton launched
her first menswear collection during the Alexander McQueen ‘Pomp and
Circumstance’ runway show held in June 2010 in Milan, Italy and in September
2010, Burton presented her first womenswear collection for the McQueen label in
Paris.
For the forthcoming season, Autumn/Winter 2015, the
Alexander McQueen menswear collection was showcased during London Men’s Fashion
Week held in January 2015. The Winter wool men’s clothing has a wartime look.
Military style coats and jackets in khaki, black, grey and midnight blue, some
in pinstripe, are tailored to fit, a McQueen label signature. Completed with
knitwear and quilting and designer leather details, trousers are three/quarter length,
cropped – these trousers look odd.
The label presents an unusual view of male beauty. See a

continue.
